Swarovski

Swarovski Elements at Work was a collection showcasing an extremely successful designer collaboration that saw ten leading international designers paired with nine of the world’s best industrial producers to create innovative contemporary product and furniture designs. Unveiled at the Milan Furniture Fair, Elements at Work was also a tribute to what can be achieved when you bring the very best creative team together regardless of global logistics. The end result was an award-winning printed product. Creative direction: Concept+Image; creative director: Stephen Todd (Paris); art direction: Marcus Piper (Sydney); print managed: Logical Connections (UK); reproduction: PHMedia (UK); printing: Westdale Press (Cardiff); and not least, the client: Swarovski (Vienna).

Man About Town

When Man About Town magazine headed to Hollywood for an issue with the internationally acclaimed designer and photographer Hedi Slimane as its guide, PHMedia were presented with hundreds of greyscale digital images to colour balance across 260 pages while maintaining the portraits’ gritty, un-retouched feel. Supervised by Huw Gwyther, the editorial director and publisher, as well as the art director Felix Neill, the resulting publication, with its gold-foiled cover, was described by its editor-in-chief Philip Utz as, “finally played out in shades of grey… the new Hollywood noir”.
